Unless expressly agreed in writing, TechSavi IT is not responsible for reviewing, monitoring, validating or moderating Customer data or content.

6. Personal Data

Where the services involve personal data, the Customer must comply with applicable data protection law, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 where applicable.

The Customer must not upload, store or process personal data through the services unless:

  • it has a lawful basis to do so;

Where the services include email, messaging, collaboration or communication tools, the Customer must not:

8. Fair Use and Resource Use

The Customer must use the services fairly and reasonably.

The Customer must not use excessive bandwidth, storage, processing power, API calls, support time, email volume or other resources in a way that may affect service performance, security, cost or availability for TechSavi IT, vendors, suppliers or other users.

Where usage is excessive or outside the agreed scope, we may:

  • ask the Customer to reduce usage;
  • charge additional fees;
  • move the Customer to a more suitable service plan;
  • restrict or suspend the affected service;
  • terminate the relevant service where permitted by the contract.

9. Backups

Unless expressly stated in the relevant order, quotation, service description or statement of work, backup services are not included.

The Customer is responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of its own data.

Where backup services are included, they are subject to the relevant backup scope, retention period, recovery process, exclusions and service limitations stated in the applicable service description or vendor terms.

10. Vendor and Third-Party Terms

Many cloud services, software subscriptions and digital services are supplied by third-party vendors, publishers, distributors, manufacturers or cloud providers.

The Customer must comply with all applicable vendor terms, including:

  • licence terms;
  • subscription terms;
  • acceptable-use policies;
  • service descriptions;
  • support policies;
  • security requirements;
  • usage restrictions;
  • data protection terms;
  • renewal and cancellation terms.

Where vendor terms are stricter than this policy, the stricter terms apply.

We may suspend or terminate access where required by a vendor, supplier, law, regulator or applicable service provider.

11. Monitoring and Investigation

TechSavi IT does not routinely monitor Customer content unless required for service delivery, security, support, compliance, legal reasons or vendor requirements.

We may investigate suspected breaches of this policy, including reviewing:

  • usage records;
  • service logs;
  • support data;
  • account information;
  • security alerts;
  • vendor notifications;
  • system activity relevant to the suspected breach.

We may cooperate with vendors, regulators, law-enforcement agencies or affected third parties where required or permitted by law.

12. Suspension or Restriction of Services

We may suspend, restrict or disable access to services immediately where:

  • the Customer breaches this policy;

  • the service is being used for unlawful, harmful or abusive activity;
  • payment is overdue;
  • suspension is required by a vendor, supplier, regulator, court or law-enforcement authority;
  • urgent action is needed to protect systems, data, customers or third parties;
  • credentials are compromised or suspected to be compromised.

Where reasonable and lawful, we will notify the Customer of the suspension and explain the reason.

The Customer remains responsible for fees incurred before suspension and for any ongoing fees where the suspension results from the Customer’s breach.

13. Removal of Content

We may remove, disable or restrict access to Customer content where we reasonably believe that it:

  • breaches this policy;
  • breaches applicable law;
  • breaches vendor terms;
  • infringes third-party rights;
  • creates a security risk;
  • may expose TechSavi IT, vendors, suppliers or customers to liability.

The Customer must not use the services in breach of any applicable export-control, sanctions, embargo or trade-compliance laws.

The Customer must not make the services available to any person, organisation, territory or end use prohibited by applicable law or vendor terms.

We may refuse, suspend or terminate services where we reasonably believe that providing the services may breach export controls, sanctions, vendor restrictions or applicable laws.
